Fatra, a.s. company produces PVC granulate from basic raw materials using the latest machinery and the technology which includes mixing and granulation on extrusion lines.
Granulate supplies include many types differing in wide scale of characteristics related to the technology of their subsequent processing (typically extrusion, co-extrusion, cable and fence sheathing, injection moulding, mould pressing). In addition to the existing offer of granulates, a mixture might be designed on request directly according to customer’s demands.
Within the development of new granulates, the production division collaborates with research laboratories that have at their disposal of the state-of-the-art facilities for testing materials according to current standards.
All granulate types are developed, produced and supplied in collaboration with the customer, based on the characteristics demanded. However the collaboration with the customer does not end with the production and shipment, it continues with customer support in the case of the customer’s interest, for example with technical assistance in production launch or with optimisation of processing modes in the serial production.

Resulting granulates may thus vary in terms of:

  • physical and mechanical characteristics (typically hardness, density, tensile strength limit, elongation at fracture, notch resistance, elasticity, etc.)
  • visual characteristics (colour from the chart RAL K7 Classic, transparent granulates, gloss / mat)
  • processing characteristics (rheological curves, ITT, viscosity)
  • chemical stability (UV stability, resistance against oils, oil products)
  • thermal stability (frost resistance, fire and high temperature resistance)
  • electrical properties (permittivity, loss factor, internal resistance)
  • plasticisers used (higher phthalates, or phthalate free plasticisers)
