Kilometres for a good cause

This year, albeit with a slight delay, we once again recognised those who took the most active part in the Bike to Work challenge. The top participants received well-deserved gifts as a thank-you for their commitment and for the kilometres they covered during the challenge.

As the event is also linked to charity, those who cycle the greatest number of kilometres have the opportunity to choose which organisation will receive a corresponding financial contribution. The number of kilometres covered is converted directly into the amount donated.

This year, a donation voucher worth CZK 27,000 was presented to the non-profit organisation Za sklem, o. s.

Za sklem, o. s. is a non-governmental non-profit organisation supporting people on the autism spectrum and their families. Its aim is to help people with autism spectrum disorder live, study and work in mainstream environments in a way that reflects their individual needs and abilities. The organisation provides four registered social services: professional social counselling, social activation services for families with children with autism spectrum disorder, social rehabilitation and a day services centre. It is also involved in awareness raising, education, leisure and community activities, as well as advocating for the rights of people on the autism spectrum and their families.
