The EcoVadis rating is one of the most comprehensive assessment tools in the world, enabling companies to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability and ethical business practices on an international level.

The mission of EcoVadis is to guide companies worldwide towards sustainability and to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable actions in order to positively impact the world amid climate change.

Founded in 2007, EcoVadis evaluates private and public companies based on their social, ethical, and environmental impacts. As these aspects are becoming increasingly important, a positive EcoVadis rating can also represent a significant competitive advantage and influence how a company is perceived by customers and business partners.

The EcoVadis assessment is based on international sustainability standards. A key part of the evaluation is the provision of supporting documentation. Companies are assessed across four main areas:

Environment: Climate impact, energy efficiency, emissions
Labour & Human Rights: Working conditions, safety, diversity, human rights compliance
Ethics: Anti-corruption practices, transparency, fair business conduct
Sustainable Procurement: Supplier relationships and sustainability

In the 2024/2025 assessment, the results of which were published at the beginning of February, Fatra was awarded the Silver Medal. This means the company achieved a score of 73 out of 100 and ranked among the top 7% of companies in the plastics industry. The achieved score is higher than that of 87% of all assessed companies.
